Comfort Mapping

In traditional clothing, the liner is one dimensional and treats the thermal requirements of different parts of the body the same. In developing Klim's Comfort Mapping Technology, the needs of each region of the body is examined, That information is used to integrate insulated materials into strategic areas of the clothing. This helps effectively manage the body's thermal requirements by allowing better breathability, enhanced mobility, and maintaining a comfortable temperature level in any condition.

Three Layer Technology

Three Layer Construction plays a vital role in applying Comfort Mapping in clothing. A three layer fabric is made up of three different pieces of material that each have a specific purpose. These three layers are laminated together to form one integrated piece. The outer fabric is usually a durable piece of nylon that protects the riding gear. The middle layer is a Gore-Tex membrane that is durably waterproof and breathable. The inner layer or backer is where a user really benefits from Comfort Mapping. A thicker inner layer is used in areas where the body needs more insulation. A thinner material is used in areas that build up a lot of heat. With this exclusive Klim technology, they are able to control the thermal properties of the garment and create the world's most comfortable, technical and durable gear.
